Exploration on Teaching Reform of Landscape

Engineering Technology Major Based on Big Data

Era

Abstract: At present, with the continuous development of data informatization

and the continuous implementation of the new education policy, new requirements

have been put forward for the education and teaching of landscape engineering

technology major in colleges and universities. Therefore, it is necessary for teachers

of landscape engineering technology to follow the important trend of social

development, learn scientific teaching methods, innovate teaching modes, give full

play to the advantages of network information technology effectively, and create

good classroom teaching of landscape engineering technology, so as to provide

effective help for the development of students’ professional ability and pave the

way for their subsequent employment development. So as to promote the long-term

development of landscape engineering technology major and provide talent support

for social construction and development. This paper mainly analyzes the teaching

reform of landscape engineering technology major based on the era of big data.

1. Introduction

With the development of social economy, it has promoted the construction

and development of cities, and put forward new demands for urban landscape

construction. With the development of garden construction entering a new period,

the types of gardens are constantly increasing, and the demand for the quality of

garden construction is constantly improving. Therefore, there is an urgent need for

professional landscape engineering technical talents. The landscape engineering

technology major in colleges and universities should pay attention to the cultivation

of talents. It is necessary to take effective measures to innovate the teaching work,

provide good courses for students, let students consciously integrate into the

study of professional knowledge, shape students’ professional ability of landscape

engineering technology, lay a good foundation for students’ employment and

development, and provide outstanding talents for urban landscape construction.

At present, the main work of garden construction enterprises includes

seedling production, garden planning, garden project budget, garden project

construction, garden maintenance and so on. Because the working conditions

of landscape engineering projects are complicated, leading to the brain drain of

many outstanding talents in landscape enterprises, most undergraduate graduates

prefer landscape design, management or teaching of landscape architecture, which

leads to the lack of professional and high-quality talents in landscape engineering

construction sites

. Facing the current market demand for landscape engineering

professionals, colleges and universities need to attach importance to the cultivation

of landscape engineering professionals. It is necessary for colleges and universities

to formulate scientific training plans for landscape engineering majors, so as to

continuously improve the skills and abilities of students majoring in landscape

architecture. Professional teachers are required to learn new teaching methods,

reform the previous teaching mode, create a good learning environment for

students, constantly shape students’ professional comprehensive ability, provide the

required professional and technical talents for landscape engineering enterprises,

provide effective help for the long-term development of landscape enterprises and

contribute to the construction and development of society.

2. Reform the Curriculum System of Landscape Engineering

Technology Major

The major of landscape engineering technology has strong practical operation,

which is the effective integration of theoretical knowledge and practical operation.

Therefore, it is necessary for teachers of landscape engineering technology to attach

importance to the shaping of students’ practical ability. It is necessary to make full

use of effective teaching resources, reform the curriculum system of landscape

engineering technology specialty, create a new classroom teaching mode, integrate

professional theoretical knowledge with practical cases of landscape engineering,

and construct a scientific curriculum system of landscape engineering technology

specialty, so that every student can be integrated into classroom teaching practice,

constantly exercise their professional knowledge and skills, provide effective

help for students’ subsequent employment development, and provide professional

For example, in the actual teaching process of landscape engineering

engineering technology professionals. At the same time, it is necessary to

effectively integrate the network information technology into the curriculum of

landscape engineering technology specialty and create a new curriculum system.

In addition, teachers of landscape engineering technology can design a reward and

punishment mechanism, which can stimulate students’ enthusiasm for exploring

professional knowledge, shape their comprehensive skills, stimulate their creative

vitality, deeply explore their inner potential, and make students more interested

in learning new professional knowledge. For those students who do well, it is

necessary to give corresponding credit rewards, so that students can study the

professional knowledge of landscape engineering technology harder, constantly

improve their professional knowledge and skills, and provide effective help for

students’ employment development, so as to realize the efficient and scientific

curriculum reform of landscape engineering technology major and provide the

required professional and high-quality talents for landscape engineering enterprises.

3. Strengthen the Construction of Landscape Engineering Technology

Professional Teachers

At present, the lack of professional teachers in the major of landscape

engineering technology in colleges and universities has hindered the development

of the major of landscape engineering technology, and it is difficult to provide

the society with the required technical talents of landscape engineering. At the

same time, colleges and universities have cognitive bias towards the teachers of

their own educational and teaching ability. In addition, it is necessary for colleges

and universities to set up teaching and research groups of landscape engineering

technology major, strengthen the construction of landscape engineering technology

major teachers, and constantly integrate the structure of teachers to improve their

professional teaching ability. In this way, we can provide good classroom teaching

of landscape engineering technology for students, train students’ professional

knowledge and skills, provide the needed talents for the construction and

development of landscape engineering enterprises, and provide strong support for

the construction and development of social economy.

4. Change Teachers’ and Students’ Ideas on the Education of

Landscape Engineering Technology

In the actual teaching process of landscape engineering technology major in

colleges and universities, influenced by the previous education model, teachers

and students of landscape engineering technology major have deviations in

their understanding of landscape engineering. Teachers can’t provide more

efficient teaching for students according to the actual situation, which limits the

comprehensive ability development of students majoring in landscape engineering

technology. Therefore, it is necessary for teachers majoring in landscape

engineering technology to learn new educational and teaching ideas, innovate

the previous teaching mode, and create a good landscape engineering technology

classroom for students with effective methods, so that every student can devote

himself to professional knowledge and skills learning. At the same time, teachers

need to pay attention to the employment guidance for students, based on the actual

needs of social development, so that students can enhance their understanding of

the major of landscape engineering technology, change their ideas and concepts,

and guide students to make scientific employment planning for themselves, so as to

provide outstanding talents for landscape engineering enterprises and contribute to

social and economic development

5. Conclusion

All in all, with the development of society, new development requirements are

put forward for the construction of landscape engineering. Therefore, it is necessary

for colleges and universities to attach importance to the cultivation of talents of

landscape engineering technology. Teachers of landscape engineering technology

should effectively take advantage of network information technology, reform the

professional curriculum system, integrate information technology with landscape

engineering technology curriculum, and update the curriculum content. At the same

time, it is necessary for schools to attach importance to cooperation with landscape

engineering enterprises, provide teachers with opportunities for social practice

learning and improve their teaching ability. In addition, teachers are required to

conduct social market research by means of network, provide scientific employment

guidance to students, help students to establish a correct employment concept, keep

learning and improve their professional skills.
