M3U2 What’s the elephant doing ?

学情分析:

在本课时之前学生已经学习了一些现在进行时的动词如:flying, sleeping,

running, drinking water等以及句型:“What is she/he/it doing?与What is

the monkey/elephant doing?” 针对学生求知欲强、乐于表现的特点,教师将

利用故事的形式,引导他们大胆运用英语完成本课时所设定的教学目标。

教材分析:

本模块和第二模块的学习内容联系紧密,这两个学习模块主要是对常见的动

词和现在进行时进行了学习。课文内容与现实生活联系紧密,方便了英语与之相

联系,会使学生产生浓厚兴趣,这样就更容易掌握所学内容。

本课是四年级(新课标三年级起点)上册,Module3 Unit2 What’s the

elephant doing?本课的重心是对draw/ jump/ sing/ dance这四个动词的学习,

包括他们的-ing形式,还要会认读What' s the elephant doing?这个句型。新

课标要求这个学段的孩子能听懂课堂简短的指令并做出相应的反应;能根据指令

做事情,本课的中心词汇与生活息息相关,也刚好达到了这样的目的,并且提高

了学生对英语学习的积极性。

教学目标:

能听懂、认读并运用单词:draw、jump、sing、dance

能力目标:

1. 能听懂、会说目标句:What's the elephant doing? It's drawing

pictures.

2. 能够掌握动词现在分词的构成:draw--drawing jump--jumping

sing--singing dance—dancing

3. 能够运用目标句询问场景中人物的动作。

文化目标:

培养学生热爱动物,热爱自然,热爱生活的情感。

教学重难点:

1.识记单词draw/ jump/ sing/ dance

2.现在进行时的基本句子结构,现在分词的构成。

教具准备:课件、多媒体、卡片

教学过程:

(课前听一首英语歌。)

Step1 warming up

1. Greetings.

先跟孩子们打招呼,介绍老师姓名。

2. 分组。(方便奖励机制实施)

3. Sing an English song.

询问某个孩子名字,问他喜欢走路、跑步吗,然后让孩子们一起站起来边做

动作边唱儿歌《Walking,walking》.

Step2 Review

’s do.

T: do taijiquan, row a dragon boat, play chess, drink soya milk.

Ss: Do the actions. (师先发指令,生做动作)

2. 再利用多媒体课件依次播放图片,让学生看图问T:What are they doing?

学生说出完整的句子, 如:They are doing taijiquan.( rowing a dragon boat,

playing chess;drinking soya milk.)

(出示图片复习二模块和三模块一单元内容)

3.出示几张动物图,T:What are they doing?(不需要孩子们回答)

Step3 Presentation

T:Animals is very clever.I like them very you like animals?

Ss:...

T:Amy and Sam are like animals ,they go to here and see the

animals.(多媒体出示马戏团帐篷,并把马戏团帐篷图片贴到右边中间。)

1.出示猴子玩球图

(1)T问:What are the doing ?---They’re playing football.

(2)再出示大象画画图,T:What’s the elephant doing ?孩子们回答不出来,

T播放活动一动画视频,引出It’s drawing pictures.然后引导学习单词:

draw/drawing.教读后教师带着孩子做一做动作。(板书:贴句子What’s the

elephant doing ?-- It’s drawing pictures+画画大象图。 )

(3)出示两头大象画画的图,T:Look,how many elephants?引导学生数one,two.

T:What are the elephants doing ? ---They’re drawing pictures.(引导区

分单复数的询问方法。)(板书:What are the elephants doing ? ---They’re)

2.学习教学单词:jump/jumping

(1)多媒体出示一只老虎跳火圈的图,T:What is the tiger doing ?直接出

示---It’s jumping.教学单词:jump/jumping,读后请同学来做动作。

(2)多媒体出示四只老虎跳火圈的图,T:How many tigers? 然后再问What are

the tigers doing? They’re jumping.(板书:It’s jumping.)

3. 出示鸟儿唱歌图,T:What’s the bird doing ?---It’s singing.教学单

词:singsinging,教孩子们读的同时带着孩子们做动作。(板书:It’s singing.)

4. 出示活动二第四幅图视频,T:What’s the horse doing ?播放活动二的教

学视频,再出示It’s dancing.教学单词:dancedancing,教孩子们读的同时

带着孩子们做动作。

a game.选出汉英都正确的选项。

3.情感引导:Animals are clever.动物很聪明。

Step3 Practice

同桌活动。同桌两人,根据图片用句型What’s … doing?It's …或What

are they doing?They're …互问互答。

根据板书复习小结。
